HILO is a unique concept, born of a need that many of you have when planning a new home: the possibility of furnishing and decorating a room in a personalized way, without drilling. So we had to create an innovative piece of furniture that could be adapted to any room, with a fixing system independent of walls.
Challenge met! All the products you’ll find on our designer furniture site are adaptable and modular, even for the smallest spaces.
A word from the designer.
The idea for the Hilo concept was born in my small Parisian apartment, when I was desperate to personalize it.
My main constraint was not to drill into the walls. After much research on the web and in stores, I realized that none of the products on the market corresponded to my needs.
As a product designer and interior architect for major French brands, I decided to turn this frustration into an opportunity. I picked up my pencil and began the first sketches of Hilo. Little by little, the idea of modular, loose-fitting furniture took shape. I shared my ideas with friends and family, never imagining that my problem was so widespread. After numerous sketches, technical drawings and discussions with engineers, the first prototype was finally born.
Hilo was officially born in Monaco. The concept, now patented, is the fruit of several years’ work, technical adaptations and refinements.
